UMZIMVUBU LOCAL MUNICIPALITY MOURNS THE PASSING OF QUEEN MOTHER
MAMJOLI NOMBUYISELO ROSE DIKO
Umzimvubu Local Municipality has learned with shock the untimely passing of Queen MaMjoli
Nombuyiselo Rose Diko, who passed away midday on Tuesday, 19 December 2023 at
Margate Netcare Hospital.
“We mourn the loss of iNdlovukazi MaMjoli Diko and our thoughts are with the royal family
and all who mourn her during this period. We pray with the family to find peace in solace
knowing that iNdlovukazi is now resting. Indeed this is a huge loss to our community”, said
Umzimvubu Mayor Cllr Zukiswa Ndevu.
“We honour and salute women like her who made a significant contribution towards instilling
cultural beliefs and discipline to our young women through isiko lokuhlolwa kweentombi”
concluded Cllr Ndevu.
