‘I was born in Rode Location in 1979, to the Royal House of Amahlubi. After matriculating at Ntabankulu Senior Secondary School, I obtained a National Diploma in Human Resources Management, majoring in Business Management & Personnel Management from the Eastern Cape Technikon. I also hold a B-Tech degree in Public Management from the Walter Sisulu University (WSU), awarded in 2004.
In 2000, I joined Statistics South Africa as a Fieldworker and later as Fieldwork Manager. In 2001 I moved to First National Bank’s FINASOL branch, as Bank Manager, followed by a move to the Department of Justice and constitutional Development as Administration Officer.
In 2002, I joined the Alfred Nzo District Municipality as Human Resources Development Manager, responsible for Capacity Building, Skills Development, Institutional Development and Community Empowerment. In 2004 I was seconded to Principal Job Evaluation Committee as Deputy Job Evaluation Manager, to conduct job evaluation for O.R Tambo District Municipality and Alfred Nzo District Municipality.
In October 2006 I joined Greater Kokstad Municipality as Assistant Manager Administration. From January 2007 to 27 February 2009, I filled the role of Executive Director Corporate Services at Sisonke District Municipality, where I was responsible for Human Resources Management, Administration, and Information & Communication Technology.
I was appointed Municipal Manager of Umzimvubu Local Municipality in March 2009.’
