UMZIMVUBU OPENS A NEW REGISTRATION AUTHORITY FOR RESIDENTS AT EMAXESIBENI
Umzimvubu Local Municipality has opened a new Motor Vehicle Registration and Licencing office at
EmaXesibeni. The Registration Authority (RA) first commenced with its operations on the 22nd March
2023, earlier this week.
All the necessary precautions were taken as guided by the Eastern Cape Government and National
Authorities. The opening of this additional Motor Vehicle Registration and Licencing office is another
significant milestone for the Municipality.
“Previously, motorists were required to travel all the way to KwaBhaca in order to register, renew and
license their vehicles. However, this development will conveniently serve all motorists residing at
EmaXesibeni”, said the Municipal Manager, Mr Tobela Nota.
The RA can now be accessed at Umzimvubu Local Municipality, every weekday between 8:00 AM –
15:30 PM.
