UMZIMVUBU MAYOR PLEASED WITH THE OVERALL MATRIC PASS RATE FOR
UMZIMVUBU LOCAL MUNICIPALITY
Umzimvubu Mayor, Cllr Zukiswa Ndevu wishes to congratulate the class of 2021 across Umzimvubu
Local Municipality. The sterling pass rate of 76.6 % has once again placed Umzimvubu back to its
former glory within the Alfred Nzo District.
It’s also pleasing to note that Ikhwezi Lomso Educare Centre and Mount Frere Community School in
KwaBhaca achieved a pass rate of 100%, while more than 25 schools out of 34 improved from the
previous year (2021).
“This year’s results are a true reflection of self-dedication and hard work. Our learners come from
disadvantaged backgrounds however that did not deter them from achieving good results. I’m very
honoured to be leading such a progressive Municipality with an efficient education system” said Cllr
Ndevu.
“To the teachers and parents, I applaud your selfless dedication to this system and wish all our
learners a prospective future ahead of them” concluded the Mayor.
