Umzimvubu Local Municipality Mayor has expressed with deep shock and condemnation at the onslaught mutilation of a 33 year old man who was found dead this morning at Singeni Location, EmaXesibeni. The municipality calls upon law enforcement authorities to swiftly act with due diligence in placing those responsible to task. The mayor further extends his condolences to the Madlalane family and Singeni Community at large.

The Honourable Mayor, Cllr S. Mnukwa further said, Singeni Village is infamously known to onslaught killings. However this ongoing violence and brutality committed in our communities is completely unacceptable.

“It is incidents such as this heinous crime that remind us that crime and violence remains a grave challenge in our communities, and that as society we need to galvanise each other’s strength to isolate the criminal elements that threaten social cohesion and harmony in our communities” he concluded.

Umzimvubu Local Municipality urged law enforcement agencies to ensure that the perpetrators of the violent incident are brought to justice and that calm is restored in the community of Singeni whose daily lives have been marred by this tragedy.
